There are times when you just don't want to face your mom -- like when you're robbing her of tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

That's why Julie Franck donned a ski mask before she and a pal held up her mother, tasing her more than a dozen times in the process. The pair stole a $40,000 diamond ring and about $200 in cash from the elderly woman, and might have gotten away with it if a bystander hadn't ripped off Franck's mask, revealing her identity.

The 36-year-old was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery, which netted her a $300,000 bail tariff.
