Well, this is one way for a school to get parents' attention.
On Tuesday, officials at Uintah Elementary School in Salt Lake City, Utah wanted to send a message to 40 parents who had unpaid balances on their children's meal accounts.
So after the 40 kids got their lunch, the school had the cafeteria workers snatch the meals out of the kids' hands . . . then THROW THEM AWAY.
The reason they gave the kids meals first was because they couldn't see who had unpaid balances until they rang them up. And they threw the meals away because once a kid has a lunch, they can't serve it to someone else.
But all either of those things REALLY did was HUMILIATE the kids even more.
The kids didn't starve . . . they got milk and fruit instead of their lunches. But still, as you'd expect . . . parents are OUTRAGED... No word yet on if any of the school officials GOT THIER ASSES KICKED yet
